Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This big tree grows up to 61 meters (200.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 408 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a slender, straight trunk covered in smooth, yellow bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black with white speckles.
The sparse amount of branches are short and slender, with thousands of twigs covered with very large amounts of miniature, cyan needles. The needles themselves are frail.
In late summer it produces large, yellow seed pods.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
