Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 8 feet (2.4 meters) and growing as high as 498 feet (151.8 meters).

It takes 8 months for the orange stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are smooth and waxy.

The needle-like, clammy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are found in olive, azure and copper varieties, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of small green flowers.
