Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its lime green and hazel stem is thin and splits into 4 branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the giant, green leaves are fan-like with ripped edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.
Hundreds of large flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with alternating petals of gold and lime, with a lilac central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 40 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has a powerful scent that smells like rotten meat, and it has lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
