Lilac

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 45 feet (13.7 meters) and growing as high as 124 feet (37.8 meters).

It takes 21 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The pleated, crispy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are lilac on the edges and aquamarine at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many clusters of average bright orange flowers.


It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is frequently struck by lightning.
It is suitable for making strong rope
