Golden Leaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The wispy stem is gray, and is covered in brittle brown spines. The smooth-edged, slender, pointed leaves are olive and gold. Very large amounts of them grow from the base in tight-packed layers. The leaves are hardy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is quick growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid indigo petals decorated with slate dots and a caramel central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is made up of 20 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a strong scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the gold flesh is leathery, and the pastel blue sap is thin.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
