Purple Fruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 46 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, curved trunk covered in very thick, waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown.
The branches are short and thin and are covered with large amounts of giant, fan-like leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid white or muted purple, with purple splotches.
In early spring, it produces balls of tiny, pink blossoms with crescent-shaped petals. They are sturdy and have no scent.
In early winter it produces , long, tapering fruit. The fuzzy azure skin is delicate and edible when boiled; it is savoury, and the soft amber flesh is spicy and syrupy. The beige seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
