Silverwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large tree grows up to 89 meters (292.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 231 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in hard, ridged, silver bark, and inside, the light wood is pine-coloured.

The sparse amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, miniature, long, tapering leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in blood red, green and brilliant blue varieties.

In late summer it forms small, black, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

The leaves are slightly toxic, and very salty.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
