Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On trees, and In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very tough; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
