Orange Moss

This orange moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In moorlands, On rotten logs, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very flimsy.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
