Silver Cube Flower

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its gray-green stem is very thin, and the large, silver leaves are circular with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

3 to 5 large flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with petals that are generally florescent green; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 38 raised, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a faint scent that smells like skunk spray, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
