Turquoise Leaf

This huge shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for around 22 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of sturdy, crooked stems covered in ridged, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, wispy, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid cream with turquoise dots, light and leathery.

In mid-spring it produces many balls of medium-sized, light brown blossoms with oblong petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like bleach.

In early winter asymmetrical fruits ripen. The smooth florescent green skin is peel-able and inedible, and the soft indigo flesh is sweet and juicy. The caramel seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.
