Heartspine Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 57 feet (17.4 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 5 wide stems. Each stem is lime, and is covered in dozens of rigid orange spines. The spherical body is green, and is covered in thousands of flexible azure spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are pink in the center, brown in the middle and dark orange at the edges grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 46 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like damp.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the pastel yellow flesh is sticky, and the beige sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
