Twistwood

This average-sized tree grows up to 10 meters (32.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 510 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, twisting trunk covered in thin, cracked, light brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is mahogany-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with handfuls of sticky, huge, pleated leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are solid white or cream, with dull purple streaks.

In late summer it forms small, gold seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
