Copperneedle Tree

This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, twisting trunk covered in ridged, yellow bark, and inside, the hard wood is burgundy.

The excessive amount of branches are short stubs, covered with large amounts of small, copper needles. The needles themselves are resilient.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, silver, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
