Fuzzy Blue Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 16 feet (4.9 meters)0. It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 3 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The perforated, leathery leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are solid muted blue or hazel, with indigo splotches, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thick bunches of tiny peach flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of small seed pods.


It is suitable for making paper
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
