Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On rotten logs, and In rainforests.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores.
