Speckled

This average-sized tree grows up to 60 meters (196.9 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 107 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, slanted trunk covered in waxy, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is gray.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of leathery, tiny, thin leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in intense purple, hazel and gold varieties.

In early spring, it produces several small, white blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like rotten meat.

In late summer it forms small, black seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
