Violetgrass

Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large, violet grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in thin clumps that are delicate and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, amber tuft.

During the mid-summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.

It makes excellent hedges.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It is often home to a particular bird species.
