Silvervine

This enormous flower grows up to 15.9 feet (4.9 meters) tall. Its silver stem is thick and straight, and the tiny, silver leaves are dark lime green and yellow-green on the underside and are thick with wavy edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 67 cm (26.4 inches) wide, with solid olive petals decorated with beige dots and a blue central disk. The flower head is largely flat with several widely spaced round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like leather, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
