Burgundy Grass

This short, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in small clumps that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, green tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of giant grains.
