Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters)0.

It takes 5 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The long, narrow, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are copper on the edges and intense red at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thick bunches of average amber flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of very large berries.

It comes in 3 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
