Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This big fruit tree grows up to 26 feet (7.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 26 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, twisting trunk covered in waxy, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is burgundy-brown.

The tangled mess of branches are long and thin and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, 5 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of green that gradient shifts to amber at the top.

In early spring, it produces thousands of tiny, turquoise blossoms with broad, flat petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a powerful scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.

In early winter it produces small, needle-like fruit. The sticky light grey skin is stretchy and inedible, and the crunchy orange flesh is sweet and powdery. The hazel seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
