Orange Spine Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in handfuls of flexible orange spines. The slender leaves are a shade of gray-green that gradient shifts to purple at the top. Copious amounts of them grow on narrow, bronze branches that are long and thin. The leaves are frail, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with brown petals and a black central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like a man.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the hazel flesh is sticky, and the vivid yellow sap is thin.
