Purple Majesty

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is orange, and is dotted with small orange spines. The irregular-edged, asymmetrical leaves are either vivid purple, or magenta with blue lines. Large amounts of them grow from the base in random directions. The leaves are delicate, but take little effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with alternating petals of light grey and pastel orange, with a purple central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 7 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like new books.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the cyan flesh is waxy, and the bold green sap is thin.

It is suitable for making paper
The leaves have medicinal properties.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
