Silverbell

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its silver stem is wispy and straight, and the giant, caramel or blood red leaves are light burgundy on the underside and are very thin with jagged edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

4 to 9 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with lime petals and a gold central disk. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 13 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has the faintest scent that smells like onion, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
