Limevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 8 feet (2.4 meters) and growing as high as 454 feet (138.4 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 4 months for the hazel or purple stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are soft and flexible.

The wide, soft leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are grey on the sides and lime at the center, and have jagged edges.


It is suitable for making paper
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
