Purple Streak Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is pink-red, and is covered in handfuls of rigid white spines. The stocky leaves are either cream or grey, with purple streaks. Copious amounts of them grow on very thick, olive and lime green branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are strong, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 22 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are light grey in the center, indigo in the middle and silver at the edges grows at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 16 raised, narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like new books.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the beige flesh is slimy, and the grey sap is thin.
