Spiralwood Tree

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big tree grows up to 64 meters (210.0 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3201 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is mahogany-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright, covered with small amounts of giant, moss green needles. The needles themselves are hardy.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, brown seed pods.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It can survive a very long time without water.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
