Burgundy Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized, burgundy grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in sparse patches that are delicate and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, blood red flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of giant grains.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
