Lime Green Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In moorlands, and In damp forests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely flimsy.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
