Starfire Daisy
Flower type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its emerald stems grow in bunches of 8 and are thick and straight, and the miniature, red leaves are slender, pointed with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
3 to 7 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with petals that are either aquamarine or orange, with a yellow center. The flower head is shaped like a star made up of many widely spaced, narrow petals. They are sturdy.
It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like sugar, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
