Bronzeleaf

Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This huge shrub grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for around 84 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of very thick, straight stems covered in ridged, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches are very long and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, 2 pointed, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise on the sides and bronze at the center, flexible and clammy.

In early spring it produces a thick sheet of small, violet flowers with 5 umbrella-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have no scent.


It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The leaves have medicinal properties.
