Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 36 feet (11.0 meters) and growing as high as 190 feet (57.9 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 2 years for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are rough and woody.

The 9 pointed, waxy leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are either blue, or magenta with sky blue patches, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of average lime flowers.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
