Indigo Moss

This indigo moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
