Violet Vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 42 feet (12.8 meters) and growing as high as 105 feet (32.0 meters).
It takes 3 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are thick and twisted.
The fan-like, smooth leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are either orange, or black with violet streaks, and have irregular edges.
During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of giant bold purple flowers.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It blooms only at night.
