Magenta

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible hazel spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 14 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid magenta petals decorated with sky blue lines and a crimson central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is largely flat with many tightly layered narrow petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like petrol.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the sky blue flesh is sticky, and the turquoise sap is thin.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
