Silverclad Vine Maple
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This massive tree grows up to 103 meters (337.9 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 154 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, light gray bark, and inside, the flexible wood is silver.
The small handful of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with copious amounts of clammy, small, sickle shaped leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are aquamarine at the bottom and olive with gentle yellow splotches at the top.
In late summer it forms giant, lime aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
