Saffron Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In bogs, On rotten logs, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
