Vanilla Green

This modest-sized flower grows up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. Its yellow stem is very thin and splits into 4 branching stems at the top, and the miniature, brown leaves are white on the underside and are asymmetrical with tattered edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 17 cm (6.7 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of brilliant green. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 40 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has a powerful scent that smells like vanilla, and it has excessive amounts of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
