Silvershell Tree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 48 meters (157.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 622 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in delicate, knobbly, yellow bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown.

The branches are very long and thick and are covered with very large amounts of fuzzy, small, asymmetrical leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are grey on the sides and dark brown at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, silver, shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
