Speckled White

This average-sized tree grows up to 8 meters (26.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 542 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, angular trunk covered in thin, rough, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is white with black speckles.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of leathery, tiny, 6 pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either turquoise or olive, with gentle orange patches.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of large, beige blossoms with finger-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like cherry.

In late summer it forms small, crimson, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
