Silverbell
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This average-sized tree grows up to 55 meters (180.5 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 59 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a flexible, crooked trunk covered in thin, ridged, silver and white bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pale brown-grey.
The small bunches of branches are very long and thick and are covered with very large amounts of crispy, small, thick leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are lime at the bottom and green with bronze dots at the top.
In early spring, it produces several giant, turquoise blossoms with fan-like petals. They are hardy and have the faintest scent that smells like damp.
In late summer it forms small, orange, shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
