Lilac
Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is thin, and the giant, moss green and green leaves are needle-like with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
Each stem splits 5 to 10 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with solid grey petals decorated with white lines and a lilac central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 34 curved petals. They are sturdy.
It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like fish, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
