Magenta Climber

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 44 feet (13.4 meters) and growing as high as 782 feet (238.4 meters).

It takes 23 months for the crimson or amber stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The wide, clammy leaves reach up to 11 inches (28 cm) in length. They are caramel with magenta tips, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces clusters of small green flowers.


It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
