Silverfruit Tree

This short fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 39 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in delicate, silky, yellow bark, and inside, the very dense wood is silver.

The small handful of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of miniature, finger-like leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are subtle blue on the edges and gentle yellow at the center.

In early spring, it produces dozens of medium-sized, light grey blossoms with wide petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like a man.

In early winter it produces tiny, wide fruit. The waxy deep green skin is stretchy and inedible, and the very soft white flesh is spicy and very juicy. The drab yellow seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
