Aquamarine Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The narrow stem is red, and is covered in brittle black spines. The finger-like leaves are generally aquamarine. Handfuls of them grow on slender, gray-green branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are delicate, and do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid dark grey petals and a grey central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 56 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a delicate scent that smells like pineapple.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the red flesh is rough, and the beige sap is thin.
