Spiralbark Tree

This colossal tree grows up to 134 meters (439.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 517 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, wavy trunk covered in smooth, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very light wood is silver.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of crispy, small, wide leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are lilac and peach.

In early spring, it produces a handful of medium-sized, hazel blossoms with 5 crescent-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have no scent.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, olive, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
