Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly hardy.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
