Violet Moss

This cyan or violet moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and can spread and grow quickly, and is slightly resilient.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
