Whispering Bluebell

This average-sized flower grows up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. Its lime green stems grow in bunches of 3 and are thin with a curved tip, and the tiny, brown leaves are circular with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 22 cm (8.7 inches) wide, with petals that are pink at the sides and sky blue at the center. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 36 raised, narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like baby powder, and it has excessive amounts of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
